Happy March!

In spite of the nasty weather March throws at us in the northeastern US, I look forward to this month.

First, it brings spring, technically at least, on the 20th this year. Second, no matter how much snow and ice Mother Nature throws at us now, it won’t last long. Third, at my house, not a single flower has bloomed, which means not a single flower has died. That might sound morbid, but when my crocuses die so early in the season, it reminds me just how quickly spring and then summer will pass. At this moment, with the ground still hard and bare, I know that nature’s most colorful beauty is still ahead–all of it–and I’m filled with anticipation. So, yes- Happy March!

Wishing you the best with the dregs of winter and the dreams of spring.
